08 October 2015 The plane landed at Johannesburg at 05.15 and after the taxi driver had some navigational difficulties we arrived at the Summer Gardens Guest House at about 7. Our accommodation turned out to be a collection of partly thatched buildings in African style. Fortunately our room which opened out onto the immaculately maintained gardens was immediately made available to us.
The day was spent relaxing to get over our hectic time in Dubai and the overnight flight. We walked to the local shopping mall to discover that the cost of food and drink seems to be substantially less than the U.K.
