After a very long flight we and our luggage arrived in Johannesburg. On Wednesday we took a tour of Johannesburg and Soweto(South West Townships) Johannesburg is a large diverse city. Our guide Tehbang was great and could speak nine languages. (more then half were languages we had never heard of)We found Soweto the most interesting part of the tour. We saw Nelson Mandela's and Desmond Tutu's house which are on the same street. The only street in the world with 2 Nobel prize winners. Went to the Apartheid Museum which was very interesting. We walked through a lower class township. Soweto has had a rough past but the people we meet were friendly and hopeful. Also drove through one of the poorest township's called Alexandra. Today we are off to the mall to buy supplies.
