The university town with its wild western looking architecture, many shops, restaurants and pubs offered us a young vibrant atmosphere and beautiful surrounding vineyards. Staying in Stellenbosch for four days, we enjoyed spenting again some time with our French friends. A wine tasting tour is a must in this region, so we decided to go on an organized day trip to the surrounding vineyards. We visit four different vineyards, starting in Simonsig in Stellenbosch with some life music brings directly a good atmosphere in our little group of ten people. Afterwards we went to Fair view, which is situated in Paarl, where we had the chance to enjoy some delicious cheeses with our wines. Dieudonné in Frenchhoek had along us not the best wines, but an amazing view! Our last stop is at the Boschendal vineyard also in Frenchhoek under a beautiful oak tree.
