Hi All, Well it has been a relaxing stay here at riverside camp, not much in the way of of unexpected events, buksietjie sieced a camshaft due to me being worried over a cam belt that i thought was to slack for my liking and adjusting it to tight, but got it sorted and now she is going well, We are planning to leave here on Monday and going up to East Londen, thinking of staying at Yellow sands caravan park unless someone knows of a better place in that area, Wanda needs to go for a biopsy tomorow in Georg, a persistant sist in her mouth that wont heal.

Today we planned to head to Mossel Bay for our Garden Route road trip for the Rd of 16 game in port Elizabeth. I woke up at 8 am today and hopped into a car for a good 4 hours. At the beginning of the drive I was dying form a massive headache which I attributed to tlast nights debauchery combined with the lack of being able to grab breakfast since we were in a rush. After about an hour of enduring a massive headache and hunger we stopped at a small grocery store/café where I picked up a quiche, carrot muffin, mango juice, 3 apples, and some billatong beef jerky to satisfy my hunger for all about 30 rand! That’s approximately a litte over 4 dollars! What up!!!!! During the road trip (we were taking ... read more

It was time for us to start going west again towards Cape Town, taking the N1 all the way, so next stop was Mossel Bay. This was definitely a workaday town, albeit with another a lovely ocean location, lighthouse and bluffs and steep roads! Like the Garden Route equivalent of Southport (not so tacky as Blackpool) or Cleethorpes, it was pleasant but no great shakes. Our accommodation was backpacker cheap and cheerful, we enjoyed a good value lunch of fish and chips at the Point, the small strip developed by the lighthouse and coast, and returned later that evening for pizza. The day ended in a pub where for one of the few times in my life I was overseas watching a Manchester United football match where the majority of fans WEREN’T Man U fans; Bayern ... read more
