Today I woke up at 11am still loving the vacation time. Not wearing a watch I don’t really ever know what time it is. I simply tell time by what World Cup game is currently on or next. A bunch of us hit up the same Clifton Beach I went to earlier this week, while two of the guys went to hit up some internet in the town since our internet connection back home was out. We played a little soccer at the beach and enjoyed the sun and then headed back home in time for the World Cup games.

Definitely living life in between the soccer games we planned out the weekend and some fun touring events based on which games were to be played on which days and who was playing. We decided to tackle some wine tasting tours and a beach seafood 10 course lunch bbq near the cape at some point in the next week. For today we ended up staying home and watching the games. As promised, living life between games, Dave and I went for a run along the beach during the 1st and 2nd game and we started a barbeque and freshened up

between the 2nd and 3rd game.

We barbequed some ostrich, lamb, and chicken. Yes Ostrich! The Ostrich was delicious and even better than steak, I don’t even think we marinated the Ostrich. When we removed it from the packaging it was doused in blood, the most blood I’ve seen on any type of steak, but it worked well for the meat leading to very delicious medium rare ostrich steaks. To go with the rest of the meats the girls cooked up some soccer pasta and made a tasty onion and bell pepper tomato garlic sauce to go with it. The soccer pasta was pretty interesting with pasta shaped like soccer balls, jerseys, boots and soccer pitches.

The games today were a lot more exciting with as expected with the second round of group games. So far in the second round of group games there have been 13 goals and today’s games produced a total of 10 goals. From the looks of it France has been playing horrible and I doubt they will even make it out of the group as Mexico slid two into the net with one being a penalty kick. Everyone called it an early night

DELICIOUS!!!
after going hard for 3 nights with some intent of trying to nap and wake up in time for game 7 of the NBA playoffs, which will be televised here at 2am and again early morning. It was good that we took a night off as I had a pounding headache from the Brand Slang from the night before.
