Out the gate and decided to take the Mondolovi loop for a change of direction. We decided to take the road toward the picnic area at around 6:20 a.m. and all of a sudden see two cheetahs walking along the edge of the road. Wow! We watched them head off hunting, climbing on mounds to check things out and just doing regular cheetah like things. We were not alone in watching them and it was kind of funny because we would all move forward and then stop as the cheetahs moved along. We watched them for over 30 minutes and then they lay down and we decided to go to the picnic area and fix some cereal for breakfast.

Could see cars still watching the area where we had last seen the cheetahs so we decided to go back down and see what was happening. There was also some impala feeding in the general area and so we thought there could possibly be some drama in the cards. Nothing happened and it appeared the cheetah were not interested in the impala.

Did some more game viewing as we headed back toward the camp. We got to see a gymnogene right before we got back. Had not seen them this time like we have on previous trips.

While we were eating lunch, one of Robert's teeth broke so guess we have a trip to town in our immediate future.

On our evening drive we saw a beautiful male lion resting out on the sand near the river. We also saw rhino, buffalo and many of the other beautiful animals. We were driving toward Crocodile Bridge when Robert hollered to stop, there was a leopard. He had heard the guinea fowl alerting about the leopard. He did not catch the angry look at the face of the leopard as it was "outed" by the guinea fowl. We kept looking for the leopard in the very thick vegetation on our side of the road and then all of a sudden we began to hear the vervet monkeys on the other side of the road begin alerting. That sneaky leopard must have crossed the road behind us and was now hunting on that side of the road!

It was a very nice day indeed!
