Well, it finally happened. It appears we have run out of data time and must go get some more uploaded into the dongle. We decided the closest place was Hazyview and we were familiar with the mall where the MTN shop was.

So was it a game viewing day or travel to town day?

Drove the Waterhole road and the road we saw the cheetah in hopes of seeing some sort of good game. We did see some nice groups of elephants along the way and then were out on the main road again. We came on a group of rhinoceros; one of them seemed to be very young. Watched them for awhile and then continued on our way.

Just as we left the rhino, a car came towards us. We waved to the people and told them there were rhino ahead and they said there were buffalo and lions in the direction we were heading. We came on the buffalo and successfully enjoyed watching them and then found the lions. Of course, it is usually pretty easy to find the predator sightings by the number of cars in less you are the first to find it.

The lions had evidently had a recent kill and were spread out across the hillside and some of them would get up and move to another location but were not real active. Watched them for awhile and then moved on.

Right before the gate we saw two huge rhino at a waterhole. They were grazing in an area that had just been control burned and so it was very primeval looking. From there it was out the gate and on to the mall in Hazyview.

We had some challenges to getting the data because the MTN lines were down. They sent us to a place to buy some data but this place only sold data in 50mg bundles and they were good for only 24 hours so this would do us no good. We had bought some and took it back to MTN to be uploaded when we discovered this and had to get our money back.

We found out that you can buy airtime for phones at the grocery store and convert it to data if you buy it in the right amounts. The MTN worker gave us the correct amounts and we went and bought more groceries and the air time which they converted to data for us. Thank you MTN for your assistance!

The drive back was pretty low key but we did see a group of buffalo resting in the river bed as we drove past. Dinner was comfort food: tacos. We had been to store you see and they had Old El Paso taco shells for sale.
