GREETINGS!

SO here I am in South Africa! We left Tofo last Tuesday to head back to Maputo, where we just stayed for one night then headed for Sabie in South Africa the next morning. So got another funky stamp in my passport thanks to antother thrilling border crossing!

We've been in Sabie for the last 5 nights, staying at a really nice backpackers and doing loads of adrenaline type stuff which has been exciting! We did river tubing which was amazing and i didnt fall in once! Despite a vertical backwards drop down a small waterfall! Skilled or WHAT. Obviously Rob fell out a few times cos he's an imbecile. Also on this tubing trip i jumped off a 12 ft rock into a waterfall pool thing - REALLY scary but fun. we also did caving which was cool! Got to wear overalls and we each had our own candle to light the way! Lots of small spaces and getting muddy. We also did 'kloofing' or 'canyoning' which was ace! It involved travelling through a canyon through a river, scrambling over rocks, jumping off more big drops (face first on my part might i add - very funny) and basically having lots of fun! All the time wearing a fetching wetsuit and a pair of 'rubberbutt' shorts to protect the wetsuit. And saucy helmet that was too big (yes even for MY massive head). Partook in a rather precarious climb up (and backdown .... yeeeshk) a waterfall which was cool. Stood behind it n'all. Glad i did't die. Hoho. We also did paintballing which was exciting and only slightly painful! hehe. But the highlight for me has to have been conquering my fears and doing a bridge swing! This involved jumping off a 40m high bridge (which is also a fully functioning road with massive lorries hurtling along) and swinging beneath it! It took alot for me to do it and i'm so proud I did cos I decided when i got there that i wasnt going to do it! As did Laura and she also did it in the end - and ate cheesy doritos as she swang. Legend. Anyway it was ace and i'm now part of TEAM EXTREEEEEEM. yeah.

SO i have to sign off cos i've gone over my hour limit on the net woops! So yeah i left Sabie today and am now at Blue Chillie backpackers in Pretoria, and I'm going to visit Soweto (township) and the aprtheid museum tomorrow which will be interesting.
