We drove back to Johannesburg after 2 very exciting days on
Safari. What an incredible experience. Riding in 4 wheel
jeeps with a guide and a tracker and a gun mounted acroos the hood of
the vehicle. We would game hunt for 3 to 4 hours enjoying a
coffee break in the mornings and a happy hour in the afternnoon
safaris. Getting up for a 6 am safari and watching the sun rise
could become a habit.

We arrived in Johannesburg in the early evening after a game drive and
a bush walk with our guide, Marcus. It was finally nice to be
able to walk around the private reserve and get a close look at the
animal tracks and flora that were pointed out from the vehicle as we
drove by. Johannesburg is known for its high crime rate
especially armed robbery. The Out of Africa Guest house was
completly enclosed in a gated walled area. You also had to go
through
a security guard into the gated community down the street from the
guest house. We basically drove
to the B & B, checked in, went for a nice Italian meal in a
shopping complex that was filled with restaurants, returned to the B
& B, slept 7 hours then drove to the airport early to catch our
flight to Nairobi.
