After a busy week in Hermanus with relatives Gaye and Jonathan we took a leisurely 10 day road trip along the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth. We were very impressed with the displays and information provided here. These are stories of descendants of slaves, still bearing the family name of the month in which they were acquired!

3km along the West Head.

On our way to Storms River we stopped at an impressive bird reserve containing hundred of varieties. .

Beside the bird sanctuary was an equally impressive primate reserve. We were guided here, as the inmates roamed free.

Many have been rescued from owners who abandoned them when they became no longer cute babies.

We took a lovely coastal walk here up and down lots of steps and across these 3 swinging bridges.
