Saturday 8 september
Finally weekend!
Today we could sleep a little bit longer, but not that long because we said to 'tantine Myliam' we would come to her match (football).
At 7u30 we woke up, washed us and took a breakfast.
The match would start at 9u (altough that was what Myliam said). When we arrived at the stadium there were other people playing a friendly match and others were training.
At 9 o'clock they kept playing and at that time we knew the match wasn't really at 9 o'clock.. lol (but at 10 o'clock).
To kill some time I took my camera and started to change my settings to be prepared when the match of Myliam started.
Suddenly a guard came to us talking in 'Kinyarwanda' (the local language) saying we were not allowed to take pictures in the stadium.
He said we needed a permission. Luckely Myliam came to us and took the guard to the owner of the stadium (a friend of her).
5 minutes later the guard came back and said I could continue taking pictures. (It's good to know people that know people , lol)
We took a seat in the tribune, but we didn't know it was the tribune of the children.
The children saw I was taking pictures and it didn't take long before 5-10 sat next to me.
During the match I took A LOT of pictures, too bad the team of Myliam lost with 2-0.
After the match we had to wait till all the players recieved their money and just when we were going to leave it started to rain .... HARD!
When it rained less, we continued our trip to a cousin of Evelyne and her husband and son.
It was a quick visit because they needed to go to a wedding, but it was nice meeting them.
Sunday 9 september The day has come to travel to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda (where we landed the 1st september).
Myliam already took care of the tickets, we only needed to pay (3000 RWF per person => € 4).
We travelled with 'Belvedere Lines'. It wasn't the biggest bus you could take, but we didn't need more.
To reach Kigali, we needed some patients. One trip takes 3 hours, with 2 stops on the way.
When we reached Kigali, Hervé (another cousin of Eve) was waiting for us. It was a short meeting because Eve her 'marraine' picked us up for the further trip in Kigali.
The first stop was 'Dream Inn', her Motel where we had a drink. Afterwards she drove us around in Kigali with her home as end stop.
There we had a very very good meal, during the meal we talked about different things. One thing was 'going to the church', she said we didn't mention it once in whole our conversation. We said we didn't go to the church unless it's for a wedding or a communion.
She didn't believe her ears.. so we joined her husband and her son to the evening church.
1u30 later we left the church, heading to the motel where we could spend the night.
Before we that, we headed to a shop that is open 24hrs a day (like in America). I bought several things (postcards to send to Belgium, pili pili, choclat peanut butter, ...)
Back in the motel we watched the closing ceremony of the paralympics while we were eating (I was eating Igitoki (green banana's with peas, carrots and MEAT) Eve was eating a rwandees SPAGHETTI bolognaise!!! xD)
NIGHT NIGHT!
