Day 3 - more surfing and the souk
Another really good nights sleep. When I'm away, I feel so free and relaxed, that I nearly always sleep really well.
I was up at 7.30am, this morning we are doing a yoga class with Ella. I'm worried, I haven't done any yoga for about 18 months!
The yoga session was such a rude awakening for me! I seem to have lost my flexibility, abs ceased up! I struggled this morning, but felt better for making the effort. It does help bent in such a beautiful surroundings.
Yoga was swiftly followed by breakfast. Again, I enjoyed the breakfast, but I always do. I think breakfast s my favourite meal of the day! No matter here I am in the world.
We got out surfing gear ready to go at 10.30. It as easy to find my wetsuit; it's he shortest on the line!
Today we surfed at a different spot; we went in the opposite direction today, towards Agadir to Anza beach. The waves were stronger than yesterday. Dan has stayed at Cli house to have a lazy morning; Ella stayed back to do emails and some
work stuff. Therefore there is Sam, the 4 lads and me with Azzadine teaching.
The lads just got straight on it, Sam and I listened to instruction for us to progress.... And we both did! Sam got a few really good full standing surfs, whilst I got up onto my knees. I know I said this yesterday, but it is much harder than you think!
Sam and I agreed to just do the morning session then chill on the beach, although I do need to watch my skin as I burnt a bit yesterday due to not having sun cream. Today I am well prepared!
Anza is known for the good surf, but also the dinosaur footprint that was left here thousands of years ago. We did intend to walk over to see them, but sadly, we both nodded off!
In the afternoon Youness drove us to Agadir, to he souk. The 4 lads stayed to surf in the afternoon. We wandered aimlessly round the souk. I bought more pointy shoes! ... And got a SIM card, but sadly no data!
We left the souk by taxi to the marina. A very different area to
Taghazout! Much more up market with posh hotels and cafe bars. We walked along the front to a cafe called Pistachios.... OMG... Cakes to die for. It would be rude not to participate! We all did! We had really nice coffees and chatted.
We walked along the walkway, parallel with the beach to meet with Chakib. We met up then went for a stroll around the marina. It turns really cold in the evenings here, luckily I was able to borrow Chakib's jumper! It's a really nice area for a stroll and a chilled out evening, but we cut it short to get back to Cli House for our evening meal!
We started with lentil soup. To be honest, I had to give in after the soup, I was still full from cake, coffees and lunch. I just couldn't eat anything else! It was a shame really as it was a lovely chicken tagine.... Maybe tomorrow!
After dinner we washed out our surf gear ready for tomorrow. I had a cup of tea while making arrangements with Larsen to get my bus ticket for Casablanca on Saturday. All sorted, we are going for the ticket in the
morning. So it's now 10pm.... My bedtime! These busy days are tiring me out.... Lol
