Awesome pics from a country I've long wanted to visit, thanks

Wonderful photos - the more blogs and photos I see of yours from Mali, the more the country firms from "probable" to "definite" in my travel plans for next year. Super story on how to stop queue jumpers in Landcruisers - will need to remember such "brash" tactics on any future travels.

DJENNE...JENNY

When I look at your portraits I often wonder, what is she thinking about that man taking her picture. Her expression is classic and interesting. You are very good at picking your subjects.

DREAMING OF MALI...

Simply stunning portraits of Mali!
Hello David, thank you for sharing. Mali was always a dream to see, but I never made it. I paint as a pastime being retired and wonder if your photos are copy righted. Would love to paint some faces for my own pleasure and challenge.

DREAMING OF MALI...

Simply stunning portraits of Mali!
I would be honoured if you were to paint some of my portraits, Helga. I do ask you send me photos of the finished product if you do so. I have my favourites. Of all the thousands of photos I have taken, my father-in-law's favourite is "Djenne Jenny". The women of Mali were not just stunning but inspirational.

Painting portraits of Mali women
Hi David, thank you for answering. I tried to save some faces including the one you mentioned, but the system did not allow me. That's why I thought they are copyright. I will try to save a few again. Definitely I will send a photo of my painting when I get it done. Helga
