We arrived with minimal effort last night and made our way to our hotel. The Hilton, thanks to reward points.
Spent the day getting organized as we leave tomorrow morning for Lalibela.
Will likely update the blog in about 6 days as we are anticipating little or no access to the web while in Lalibela - but, we might be surprised.
FYI - The Amazing Race was in Lalibela about 6 seasons ago and another travel factoid to ponder - it is 2002 here!! Think about that for awhile and we will fill you in later on the reason. Guesses are welcomed.

UPDATED: Our evening in Addis was very fun. We went to a tradtional restaurant - Fasika where they serve Ethiopian food and have traditional dancing. We have eaten Ethiopian food before so had a little idea about that but we did not know anything about the dancing. Richard had seen it on YouTube but I had not. It was great fun! And, coffee here is served with popcorn! Rich was in heaven😊

Good to hear you are there. We think the 2002 has something to do with a different calendar but a wait your explanation.

Yeah! Happy to hear you made it okay! So re: the year - does that mean that you instantly look and feel 7 years younger, just by being there? Cool!I remember when we were in Kathmandu in 1992 it was the year 2059 (or something like that)
... was so weird to see that everywhere! Good idea to show your post on FB - thanks. bon voyage!
