Hi There!, Yesterday I visited the valley of the Kings. I biked and walked to it, which is a wonderful experience as the surroundings and energies are astonishing. As I arrived i the valley I felt a very strong guidance as though I was not in control about where to go. I ' landed' near grave 43, but fisrst had to buy tickets and when I saw the map of the area I immediately saw it: THIS IS A STARMAP! No doubt what so ever. So again I lokked and was drawn to ' my star Procyon' and its position, it was near grave 43. My soulnumber is also a 43 and th same accounts for Procyon and Horemheb... I entered the grave and I was all alone so I couls sit still for about 15 ... read more

Hi There and salam aleku, After having a first 'decent diner' I went with Achmed Safik and guests to walk around in the East Bank, drink some beer and be in a really puffy hotel....it got really late but still I took the ferry back to my little paradise to sleep between the donkeys and the camels and wake up in the fields....wasn't too awake though.....OEPS. Nevertheless, I biked to the Karnak temple and just had a GREAT time...it is so overwhelming...so huge...so...impossible almost! A lot of diversed un-centered energy. I was sort of just walking around, not trying to figure out who built what and when and magically I was guided to some wonderful places..Sekhmet room and statue and the sacred lake were places I felt a very powerful and nice energy in particular. Funny, ... read more

Happy valentine! Hear it here all day, very nice. I sort of found my ryhtm hier at westbank of Luxor....a swim in the nile, a breakfast with some coffee and relaxing the morning at the camp and in the fields as it is best to visit any sight in the afternoon because of all the big buses of other tourists in the morning. So I went to the heardresser and off I went on my bycicle to some temples I didn't see before near the Hathesput temple. I was at the Horemheb temple but unfortunately there was not much left...still it was good to be there as I keep feeling connected with this guy...he has such an interesting Life. First ' serving' Achnetaton and then later re-establishing the former Amun cult and others. Why? What happened ... read more

After a good swim in the nile and a healthy breakfast I sat down at the nile and just felt so GREAT! This place I am staying is such a special place for me....haven't seen any temple yet, but the energies are just there. I wrote a beautiful Nile song: Here I look at you, glinstering a thousand moments in the Now. Here I sit with you as I sat with you long before. Here I listen to you singing your sacred song and I need no ever more but Love you. Here I burry a little stone, healing the western greed for money, the eastern minaret tones of hardship honey. Here my heart is One with All. My heart liberated from exile. Here my heart is One with All and with you, my sweetest Nile ... read more

Hey, After a nice train ride (only 3 Eg. pound, I am so happy with my student card..) I arrive in Luxor this afternoon and went straight to the camp I remembered from 4 years ago on the westbank. At the time He (Achmed) was sort of building the place, but now it is finished and I am so happy to stay there. I have a little but comfortable hut, it is quiet and in the fields, just off the Nile, I can see the Luxor temple from my hut. Theres is Achmed who is still very ' dopey' but he is married now and has a little daughter. There is a swedisch woman who doesn't say anything and looks very weird, but she seems to be very in herself and recovering, or.....well here is my ... read more

Oemf, where to start? Since my last blog from Aswan so much has happened! I am still alive and have all my belongings.....haha. Well, I went on a felucca trip with Captain Salahm (later I found out his is not really the captain.....), 2 australians and 2 Koreans (They left after 1 night). It was so spectacular to sail in silence on the Nile...just wonderful and it doesn't take much fantasy to really feel like an ancient Egyptian... I swam in the Nile and all thought I was crazy, but it was great after a night of shivering and sleeping in my clothes......brrrrr...We had great meals, great conversations and a lot of fun! After 2 nights I went (by car) with Salahm to a small temple of Horemheb in Gebel El Silsila. I put a gemstone ... read more

Met with Ahmed, our guide for the day¨and caught a boat across to the West Bank. First stop was the Colossi of Memnon, two very large statues in the middle of a field. The granite had been transported thousands of years ago by river from Aswan, over one hundred kilometres away! We rode donkeys up the mountain before walking on foot into the Valley of the Kings. I spent the whole time laughing at dad trying to balance on his tiny ride and am even having a little chuckle to myself whilst writing this entry. Poor Nige managed to fall off not once, but twice in the short hour long ride. Turns out is wasn´t his fault at all though, the saddle hadn´t been properly tightened, resulting in his sliding off. The first time wasn´t too ... read more

Came off the felucca fairly early and walked past Kom Ombo Temple on way to meet our transport. Had to wait a while as we had to join up with the convoy from Aswan to Luxor. Visited Edfu Temple, which is renowned as the battle site between the two Egyptian Gods, Horus (falcon) and Seth (his uncle). Again, very spectacular, however I wish we´d had a guide provided. There´s certainly a huge difference between exploring on your own and being taken in a group. You learn so much more about a place with a guide and although alot of information may not be retained, it certainly gives you a better appreciation and makes the experience more memorable. Ate a late lunch at the hotel, followed by a couple hours punching away on the computer. We´d arranged ... read more

The temple day… Dirty, sloppy looking, sandy, and generally smelly from a lack of showers over four days on the feluccas, we drove straight to Edfu temple escorted by our police convoy. This temple was dedicated to the falcon headed God, Horus and is not only the best preserved ancient temple in Egypt, but the second largest after Karnak. Apart from dreaming of a shower, I remember there being this really important carving or hieroglyphics of the battle between Horus and Seth, who was depicted as a hippotamus. After the temple visit we went to our new hotel in Luxor and sprinted for the showers. I was almost taken out by Sashi in her desperate rush for the shower. Fear not, I got my shower evenutally. At this point, showering felt like the highlight of the ... read more

Well quite a bit has happened since the last entry... we got on a train to alexandria at around 12pm and it took about 3 hours. Alexandria and Cairo were much different than I was expecting. I expected cairo to be a more world class city with skyscrapers and just more modern over all and I expected Alexandria to be a bit nicer as well since apparently a lot of european tourists visit alexandria but both places were a bit run down. The hotel in Alexandria was really nice, no doubt the nicest hotel in th city and we got a really good dinner at a restaurant called Tikka Grill which is right on the corniche (boardwalk)... After that we headed towards Fort Qait-Bay and met a group of 3 Egyptian men who just kinda came ... read more
