With our departure from Egypt approaching much too fast, our last day in Luxor had the third of my trip highlights, a visit to the Temple of Karnak. The sacred lake is the largest of its kind and was dug by Thuthmosis III.

This scarab statue has the legend that if a person walks around it seven times counter clockwise, praying for a wish to come true, that wish will be fulfilled. Of course I did it!

The festival hall of Thutmose III called The Most Splendidi of Monuments. The roof is supported on the outside by thirty-two square pillars.

Thutmose III' hall inside is supported by tent pole style columns symbolizing the military tent that Thutmose would have used on campaign.
