a few days in Cairo isn't really enough, but in saying that, 10days to try and cover Egypt and your having a laugh. this country deserves atleast a month, it's cheap but still come with plenty of coin so you can do everything. And don't come during Rammadan if you like eating, because it's pretty much impossible to get a meal here during the day. the guys are very intense so I wouldn't reccomend ... Read Full Entry

I'm russ, I'm from New Zealand and have developed a love for travelling over the last couple of years. It was the best descision of my life for sure, breaking the routine and heading off to explore the globe, and I would highly recommend getting out there and having a close up look and anything that you've read about or heard about that intrests you, because if it looks cool on TV, I can garuntee you that it'll be even cooler when you are there amoungst it. you don't see many woman in the streets, especially during Rammadan, so any woman by herself is in for a very hard time dealing with shameless horney boys

farewell celebrations for russ

we'd been hanging out with those two funny American guys for a few days, and no-one had really had a beer for while because Rammadan makes it very hard to find so thought we deserved a beer or 2. however Dave busted out his stash of Vodka later in the night, which turned the rest of the night into a bit of a blur for me and consequently I missed my flight to India the next morning. doh!

so we went on a mission and found Trash City

this is a little village on the edge of Cairo, where they bring and sort all the cities recyclable rubbish and get it ready to sell if off to Europe. I couldn't believe what I was seeing
