Cameroon Memories
I happened upon this page. In 1992 I flew to Younde and up country 500 miles to the extreme north. I was visiting one of my children who was a Peace Corps Volunteer. After staying in her village for ten days, we traveled around the country. What an experience. Traveling to and from Cameroon as a lone female was one of my proudest moments. I remember Garous, Maroua, and the village og Guiaguis. You7r photographs were exactly as I remember so not alot has changed. Spent time in Younde but only flewc out of Doula so did not get to see much of that. Great story..

Belafoukou is about 17km from Ngaoundal . This Village is the first name of Ngaoundal;at the Begining Ngaoundal was only the name of the mountain .''NGAOU'' is mountain and ''Ndal'' who was the throne of Belaka Ndomo in 1700. His first son Nya Ndal Ngaou (1850-1885) succeeded to him and became the new leader ''Belaka''. After him,we have many people who had succeeded :Belaka Feke Nguer Mbika(1885-1890),Feke Mbargang (1890-1922); Those four Belaka were on the mountain Ngaoundal. In 1922 the new Leader Belafoukou Fidjik had decided to migrated to Mbilo, where he can wash easily the iron made by the stone " Sign'. The hole that they had extracted the stones to fabricate the iron is sangsign who gave the name of actual quarter of sangsign and his nephew Wiya was the leader there. In 1949 Belafoukou Fidjik had passed away and his son Belafoukou Ousmanou Wiya became the new chief and decided to migrate near the River Djerem and gave his name to this Village ''Belafoukou''.He is alive today, but his first Son Baba Adamou leads the People now.

Le Car

This is a good means of transport because it accommodates all kinds of classes of people from low to high class
My Question are: 1. Do you have Cameroonian Modern coaches traveling from Uganda / Kenya to Cameroon? 2. And if have one, how many days & nights do spend on the way travel? 3. How much do they charge for transport costs? 4.Where are found in Uganda?, we also want to tour west Africa.

Direct Travel to Kenya from Cameroon
Your best bet would be Kenya airways. It's a reliable company and I used it a lot to travel from cameroon to Nigeria and Kenya.
