Brit born in Israel - Can I travel to Pakistan?

I think you could possibly have problems if your place of birth is listed as a place in Israel. I would ask the folks who issue the passports to put a different place of birth when you get a your next passport, or sooner even. It might be worth getting a new one issued now, if they are willing to put a different place of birth on it.

I saw a post by a guy on another site who was denied entry to Iran for something as minor as this. I cant remember the details, but it was something like his place of birth being listed as Israel.

You'll need to get your visa well before you hit the border i.e. in Beijing. I suspect you should be fine with a brit passport, but rather than waste a whole load of time on it, you'd be better off asking at the embassy concerned. I suppose you could just hand it over without saying anything, but there will be a 'place of birth' box on the application (which will ask for country).

Of course if you're thinking about just turning up at the border, you've clearly not done your homework. On a more practical note that border over the Karakorum Highway is usually closed for a good chunk of the winter (i.e. NOW). When were you planning on crossing? Reply to this

I take it from your post that you think once the Visa is issued, there shouldn't be any problems at the border?

I think, there is a good chance than neither the Pakistani consulate or the immigration will even know where Haifa is, so there may be no issues at all. Reply to this

@Mell, they probably know where Haifa is which in their case is in Palestine because Pakistan does not recognize the state of Israel.

@BnK, as long as you have a passport other than the Israeli Passport regardless of your birth city, you are more than welcome to travel to Pakistan. You would need to get a Visa though. Reply to this

ONLY HOLDERS OF ISRAELI PASSPORT ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER PAKISTAN..
If ur british citizen u need to apply for visa 1st. there is nothing like visa upon arrival
