Old Tokyo
May 11th 2018 This morning's destinations are the Senso-ji Temple and Asakusa Shrine which are both in the older east side of Tokyo. We get off the metro and are immediately mobbed by young men competing for the privilege of carting us around the district in rickshaws. Brings back fabulous memories of the Samurai...the first Japanese TV show shown in Oz and Shintaro, the Samurai who on his visit to Oz drew the largest crowds ever...even bigger than for the Beatles. Hope the Ninja show did their memory justice.
