First stop on the Garden Route

Very interesting old Boer community dating back to the 1700s. Declared itself a Republic when the magistrates in Cape Town couldn’t be bothered making the journey to solve problems. Officially the Garden Route starts in Mossel Bay and ends in Stormsriver, but we stretched it a bit.

After a busy week in Hermanus with relatives Gaye and Jonathan we took a leisurely 10 day road trip along the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth.
