1964 Diary Entry "The next morning we got up and dressed and went down to breakfast. After breakfast we started to pack for that day we were leaving for Copenhagen. At about 11 o'clock we caught a taxi to the airport. When we got there we had our baggage checked and then we went into the flight waiting room. 1964 Diary Entry "The next morning we started to pack for that day we were leaving for Rome. At about 12 o'clock we caught a taxi to the airport. When we got there we had our baggage checked, had our passports stamped and then we went to the flight waiting room. At about 1 o'clock we were called into the aircraft. Then about ten minutes later we took off. We slowly rose to about 37,000 feet and there we levelled off. By that time we were over Italy. 1964 Diary Entry "About 1/4 past twelve we boarded the plane and took off for Beirut. About two hours later I fell asleep in the plane and didn't awaken till about 1/4 of an hour before landing. When we landed we stepped out and went into the airport. By the way it was about 4 o'clock in the morning and as light as miday. Well then we went in and through the passport control, health and customs. After that we caught a bus to the St George's hotel. There we got our luggage together and were shown to our room. 1964 Diary Entry "The next morning Mum started packing for that day we were leaving for New Delhi. When lunch time came we went over to Mrs Sung's place for she was going to give us a Chinese cooking party. When we got there we discovered that she was going to take us to a restaurant to eat. When we got to the restaurant we started our food. The Sung family and Dad ate with chopsticks while Mum and I ate with a knife and fork. I thought that the food was delicious. After lunch we had to say goodbye to the Sungs. They walked us back to the hotel and that was the last time that we were going to see them. 1964 Diary Entry "The next day we got up, got dressed and went down to have breakfast. That morning a Mr Sung picked us up as he was going to show us round Hong Kong. First we went to the car ferry where we drove the car on board. Then we got out of the car and went down to the front of the ferry. By the way that day was Buddha's birthday. On the front of the ferry we saw a Chinese junk with lots of colourful flags on it. I took a photo of this particular junk. A couple of minutes later we arrived in Hong Kong.
