Hello Swaziland!

Developing Africa
There are parts of Africa I assume will be under developed and this was one of them. It sounds like I didn't have a good notion of what you would find. 45 children!..yikes the King has been busy. I smiled at your description of the name. We still refer to it as Burma and will refer to it as Swaziland. I had no idea about Sibebe Rock. It sounds like you had a nice balance between chilling by the pool and exploring. This little country seems to be full of surprises. The King sounds like a bit of a pig. It may be accepted practice getting a new wife each year but I don't like the process, nor do I think they do. MJ

Yes, me too - I didn't expect Swaziland to be as developed as it was either. It's amazing how travel can change your mind and perceptions of a place! The King seemed not particularly liked by the people I spoke to, and to continue with such a practice of getting a new wife does not present him well on the international stage either. Thanks for agreeing with me on the name thing - another thing I think that the world doesn't quite know about a country until they visit it and experience it for themselves, that the Swazi people in this case didn't seem to agree to the name change.

Cultural Dance
These performances give a glimpse of the local culture even when done for the tourist. It also provides the with a living so I support these.
