BHUTAN TRAVEL BUREAU: www.btb.com.bt
THEIR tours and treks will give you an intimate insight into Bhutan's Buddhist culture and unforgettable scenery.
I have travelled with them three times from Australia - and they have been excellent every time. I have been alone, and as part of a small group (4 people). Bhutan is such an amazing place to visit. I have never been anywhere like it!
Reply to this I will be writing about my trips to Bhutan on my BLOG over the next few weeks.
Reply to this Hi fave, am planning to visit Bhutan in Feb this year.
Is it an easy place for free and easy travel or better to join in a tour?
How long was your trip, when did you go?
Reply to this Hey there
sorry about the late reply == You can't go to Bhutan on your own - you have to go with a tour company in Bhutan -- But you can travel solo - you just have to have to organise it though Bhutanese Tour company. There are so many of them - just look on the internet or Lonely Planet. It takes awhile to organise - the visa takes about 6 weeks -
I've been to Bhutan 3 times - twice in March and once in December. The longest I have stayed is 3 weeks - there is a dailyt tariff of 200 US a day -- BUT it covers everything. Food Driver, Guide, accomadation and museum entry. It's not like Nepal -- the King and government do not want there to be too many tourists at one time - and also want to to be with a guide. I was worried about it the first time -- but it was great -- the guides have become great friends - they know everything about Bhutan, and will take you to what ever you are interested in.
I hope this helps
