Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help, I'm heading to Bangkok in a few days and then I want to travel on to Burma. I was hoping to fly and spend a few days there.
I'm on a tight time scale though so wondered if anyone had any advice on the quickest way to get a visa? How long it might take, how much it might cost etc? We've been told that the visa might take longer because we are British - is that right?!
If anyone has any advice on the best places to go whilst we're there I'd be grateful!!!
Thanks x

Since you are going to Bangkok, you could try the travel agents on the Khao San Road. I dont know if anything has changed, but they at least used to be able to get tourists visas for Burma quickly.
I dont know how much it costs, or if it will take longer because you are British.
You could also try www.visa.gov.mm to get an online visa. I dont know if online visas are still available.

Reply to this As far as I know, the Government now do not accept the Visa online processing for the group below 3
Reply to this If you pass by Bangkok, you can go directly to Myanmar ( Burmese) Embassy, no need to apply through travel agency.
The whole procedure takes only 1 working day.
There are some websites to apply online if you do not have time. These sites belongs to local Burmese agencies.
