Driving around with my Dad
Fall is the most beautiful time of year to visit Korea. > I went for a drive with my dad today. We stopped by the Seoul National University Hospital for a check up and then enjoyed a nice walk on a greenway next to a stream.
A quick lesson in numbers:
South Korea has 80 rivers and streams that run through its peninsula. As densely populated as the cities are, with a total nationwide population of 50 million, an active effort has been made to preserve all the waterways in their natural state. Because there isn't much land, everyone lives in tower apartment complexes that are packed closely together. The nicest ones are waterfront. From a far, the apartments look like mini cities. At current, the tallest residential building in South Korea tops out at 88 stories.
South Korea's total land mass amounts to about 1% of the size of the United States, and yet its population equals 17% of that in the entire U-S-of A. Wowsuh.
