On Sunday September 14 Leigh had his last day of work after which we immediately hopped in the car and started our trek up to London. On the way we stopped to check out Stone Henge built between 5000 and 3000 years ago. The purpose is unknown but many speculate that it may have been a burial site or a mark of extraterrestrial life. After our brief side trip we ended the day in South Hamp

Las Palmas Gran Canaria

How absolutely beautiful. Decided to spend my October break in the Canary Islands so I could visit Julie. It's just wonderful to my eyes offering sun sand sea city mountains and great food on just one of the islands. Definitely headed back there for Christmas to explore other islands. I stayed mostly in Las Palmas although we did drive around the coast one day and saw some breathtaking views

Paul thoughtfully grazes his bishop placed on F2 in defence of his king. He picks it up from the chessboard in the apparent intention to capture my D4 pawn. It is a good move my pawn is not protected while his bishop in the actual position could cause him checkmate in two moves. ldquoWatch it outrdquo suggest I casually. ldquoIrsquom a bastardrdquo think I while Paul puts the bishop d

Loitering in a cityrsquos underworld is always a pleasure. But this time will prove to be a lousy idea.A black car closes me in a alley and two not too friendly fellas come out from the vehicle. They will reveal themselves to be policemen in civil outfits but at the time I didnrsqu

Okay even though I would not normally do this today I had a sun bed bum an equivalent to a beach bum except on a sun bed around the Hotel pool. I must admit it was lovely and especially after riding the camels the previous day it was nice to relax. Nothing exciting to write about today then apart from eating drinking reading a book and swimming occasionally. And I'm afraid all my pictures

Today I arrived at a quaint appartment in Puerto Rico Gran Canaria in the Canary IslandsWe my Mum friend and her Mum got here late at night so all we could see were the balcony lights of appartments above. Our appartment is built into a great hill and because appartments floors are staggered it means we have a huge sea view. There is a really old outdoor lift to take you to your floor a lit
