Thursday 27th November 2008 continuedWe lazed around for most of the morning. The sun comes up slightly to the back of the studios and moves round to shine on our balcony for the rest of the day.It was about 11 o'clock when the sun was on it enough to sit out which we did and our clock thermometer said the temperature in the sun was 31C. It is just truly wonderful to feel the sun on your body

Ionian Islandry

033 Greece Kefalonia101508 102108Ionian IslandryWe like Greek islands. And compared to the hustle of big city life in Athens we really like Greek islands. It all started as we hopped off the ferry onto Ithaki Homer's as in the Iliad and the Odyssey not the Simpsons home in the Ionian Sea. Unlike most ports however there was hardly anyone there No buses no taxis nothing.

Sorry for not having written for so long we've been busy We arrived in Kefalonia last week at the charming harbour town of Sami. A real change from the Cyclades as it was very quiet almost spookily so After a bit of trouble finding accommodation we found some nice apartments just off the seafront. Sami was a great place to start as close by there was one of Kefalonia's most famous landmarks t

Kefalonia was a beautiful island offering a good and varied week for us. Would definately recommend hiring a car and driving the circular route stopping at beach resorts quaint villages and the traditional tourist attractions. Avoid driving in the rain though ... the roads get very slippery and after the car span ... we were very lucky to not have dropped down the cliff face and ended up ...

I'm in bed with a cup me tea in my tin mug. It was the most useful thing I bought but I'm so looking forward to drinking out of a proper mug and not having to lug it around with me everywhere because I have decided to come home for a topup. Herersquos one of my sayings when you feel as if everything's out of control take control of your plan. It's been hard to keep hold of my plan whilst I

Well I grasped the thistle and went for the secluded bay. I tried to get in at lunchtime but there was a Neilson flotilla here. All 30footers and the weather coming in I began to feel a little insistent and muscled past the anchors a god third longer than any other yacht there they just stared. I had an encounter with French yacht and a skipper who really shouldnt wear Speedos should any

Apologies for being so short of photos. If I had thought about it better though the circumstances are limited and the time is not my own I have more chance of getting things done during my time with clients than back here at base during my day off.Highs and lows This week I had a French family. The husband I would say mistakedly thought it would be no different learning to sail in English but
