Most of the rest of the time luckily for me she occupied herself by riding around The Hague on my bicycle whom we christened Betsy. Before I

Snowy rainy freezing cold and grey. Regardless of the season or weather conditions Amsterdam is always full of people locals on bikes and distracted tourists crashing with bikers. I was of course the second one clumsy tourist with her nose in her map walking on bike paths instead of sidewalks. I seriously think I was being protected by some force majeure which stopped me from being run over

It was Christmas day our hips buckled on our seats the 777 was airborne and cruising at 37000 feet over at the Atlantic when I kissed and greeted my wife Merry Christmas. No fancy red wine but only bottled water were in our hands. It was different yet happy that we're together like those past Christmas seasons. She had been there for a summer program in High School so she was a bit nostalgic for it I think. Although one of the main reasons she wanted to go was to visit a bakery she went to and it had closed so she was a little bummed. But
