We left Chicago yesterday thankfully getting out despite all the flooding. Woke up this morning to sunny skies and flat land I had looked at the Geocaching website to see if there was anything to be found along our route at any of the longer stops that the train makes. When it makes service stops it stops for about 12 hour so a quick grab of a cache is possible if it's close enough. Sure

We had an easier drive this day on our way to Fargo ND. The town is nothing like I remember from the movie. A lot of recent development.Nor and Sean left on the 20th from Hector International Airport which I found out is really true unless you call minneapolis or denver foreign cities. They had an early flight so there are some sunrise photos as well.

My thoughts on North Dakota North Dakota is a very pretty state lots of farmland very green very clean. The people of North Dakota we've met are friendly and all seem enthusiastic about their state. I guess that it shows in how well cared for everything looks. No litter. Neat yards. Neat farms. I guess tidy is the word. North Dakotans love their home and they take care of it. How

How many of you have ever said that Hwy 85 north from Belle Fourche SD to I94 in North Dakota is a 175mile mostly straight road with rolling prairie on either side from horizon to horizon broken occasionally by buttes or rocky outcroppings. There are few trees fewer houses lots of cattle sheep some horses and a good number of pronghorn antelope. The la

Luckily I only live a few hours from the Park so makes for a nice day trip.
I'm fortunate enough to have friends who own a pontoon so spent the weekend on the Missouri River. The River is home to plenty of sand bars and a very scary current at times. It is not to be messed with. However it is gorgeous as well and very cooling on warm days. It's also great for my tan Here are a few pictures...I also threw in a State Capitol photo.
