When I woke up around 7am on the bus the views were completely different. It was like we were in the Caribbean with palm trees all over and little houses made of wood. As soon as I arrived at the wonderful hostel Casa Brasil I met some people and we all went for dinner and some drinks afterwards. After all it was my birthdayThe following morning I woke up with a massive hangover so didnrsquo

I got stuck. Stuck enjoying the seaside paradise of Florianopolis Brazil Floripa as it is nicknamed. I have been here for over a week now after fleeing Uruguay when a storm rolled in. I ran for a 9 15 bus out of Punta del Diablo which of course didn't arrive until 30 minutes later then broke down a few kilometers down the road. Eventually I made it to Chui was let off to exit Uruguay w

I arrive in Florinopolis or Floripa as the locals call it at 830 am. At least this bus ride was much better than my bus ride up to Cusco see my Cusco Entry. That was the ride from hell. It's very hot in Floripa so I decide to take a taxi to my hostel Casa Brasil. The hostel is a small family run hostel. The staff are really nice people. They tell me that two of the beaches are only half an

From Iguacu we decided we needed some beach time and a little bit of a relax postBA so we headed up the coast to the Island of Santa Catarina and Florianopolis. As soon as we had arrived in the city we jumped on another bus and headed across the island finding ourselves a nice possie overlooking the lake and just minutes walk from Mole Beach. It was supposed to be sunny and quiet and relaxing.

On arrival we were taken across the road from the main hostel to our double room where we were greeted by a kid who wouldnt let us in the door and then an old dorm room w
