It was my first real wedding I went to my cousin's at the age of 12 but don't remember much and it was great to see such strong Christians pronounce their unity to the world and make a covenant with God.Since coming back from Tanzania I have been praying over missions a

Our bright idea to save money was to stay the night in Honolulu airport and catch our early flight to LAX. However when we arrived at the airport just after midnight not only was it not a 24 hour airport but most of it was open air. Unfazed by the situation Dale and Ollie nodded straight off laying on concrete I think Mark had a bit more trouble. After a healthy breakfast courtesy of Burger

So....Our flight got delayed out of LA to the Cook Islands because the Captain got sick. Hmm...So now we fly out at 5am tomorrow morning Monday and have to stop in Hawaii for a few hours to pick up a NEW captain. They put us up in the Sheraton Hotel and gave us 100 to order room service so we ordered EVERYTHING on the entire menu. Literally..wings burgers milkshakes salad. This screws us up

I am still not quite yet off to Australia but had a great day in L.A. with Jill. So good to catch up with her and reminisce about all the fun times we had in El Paso. We had a fabulous day riding up the coast to Venice Beach for a good breakfast and a quick jaunt on the beach. We then headed further up the coast to my fav Malibu restaurant Gladstones baby for some yummie oysters and coconut

It's the day of departure. It came so quickly I almost ran into a problem at JFK airport. My scheduled flight was already delayed and it was not going to make it to LAX in time for the connecting flight to Taipei. They were able to put me at the top of the standby list for an earlier flight. Thankfully my bag and I made it to LAX. Now I'm waiting for the flight to Taipei. Total flight ti

I am sitting in front of an all american motel in the middle of the night. It is 2 am but the city of LA like me seems to have trouble trying to get to sleep. A drunken latino man is strawling through the street in front of me a fat lady is going out of her room to get another pillow from her car and young couples max 18 in cabriolet cars are trying to get a room for a few hours to do what

We left Miami just before sunset and chased the sun all the way to Los Angeles. Our flight to LA was full of interesting characters. The best character was Natalie who shared row 8 with us.
Thinking Only Makes It Worse

We've all heard horror stories about US airports. Queues winding outside the terminal and down the road uncompromising officials asking obscure and obtuse questions and of course the laundry list of biometric data that they now extract without humour or lubrication. The stories of people transiting through L.A. and missing the connecting flight because they were still going through security e
