Well its been a long time since my last blog. Apologies.Myself and my new companion left Manila and headed to Boracay for a week. The Island of Boracay is small but somewhat understated as it turns out to be an epicentre of tourist activity. However despite the offers of Kite Surfing Scuba Diving Snorkling boat trips island hopping Jet skis and ATVs we found little else but the Beach

October 1st marked the 60th anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China. Mid autumn festival also landed at the same time so we got eight entire days off of school. Even though weve only been in China for about 2 months it is already feeling pretty comfortable so I was definitely ready for a new trip. My friends and I decided early that because this is the most heavily traveled time of year in

It has been a lovely extended weekend for me and a couple of my coworkers snorkeling island hopping skim boarding drinking cocktails eating lots of food and simply just enjoying the cold evening breeze by the shore. This was the best time to once again take the much needed break from work. I was actually here almost at the same time last year.We were originally to arrive at Caticlan Airport

Sorry for the rediculously long time it took me to write this. This was an amazingly relaxing vacation with jaime one of the loves of my life hehe We flew into Manilla and were sitting there in the parking lot outside until 3 in the morning when they opened up the airport. It was hot and muggy. Once we got into the airport there was NOTHING there. We roamed around and dodged the creepy st

They are not that interested to sell and behave as if it would be better if there were no customers in the shop. I guess it is like this because they do not own the store unlike most of the other stores on the beach. But the clothes are very nice and w

One of the most beautiful beach towns we've ever visited Boracay a short flight south from Manila in the Philippines. The first day on the beach was beautiful the perfect day topped with an amazing sunset. The second day was overcast and rainy and the last day Wednesday June 24 we woke up to Tropical Storm Nangka or Feria as it is locally called. We may be here a day or two longer th

There was the still the slight chill of winter as we left Osaka for the Philippines. Thus the humidity in Manila was a bit uncomfortable. But nonetheless all is well as we drove up to the cool mountain of Tagaytay as soon as we arrived. There we stayed overnight viewed the Taal Volcano and Lake dinner at Jospehines and called it a day. The next morning we passed by the Good Sheperd convent on

Arriving in Boracay last Saturday was a lot easier said than done. There are two airports near the island Kalibo and Caticlan the latter being closer only 5 min from the airport to the harbor and the one at which we were supposed to arrive. Our flight was supposed to come in at around 1630 giving us enough time to get to the island and search for a place to stay. Didn't happen though...Becau

Finally we have arrived in Boracay. We learned some good lessons on the way here. No. 1 rule don't just believe what heshe says because of hisher uniforms. We were waiting for a shuttle from Int' airport to Domestic airport. But nothing happened for about 15 min. We saw 2 pilots standing next to us. Is this a shuttle stop mmm....I don't think there is a shuttle in the airportOk so we too

Our first stop in Manila was the Mall of Asia. We heard it was the largest mall in Asia and it was certainly the largest mall that we have seen in Asia. I am simply guessing but it was about 10 times the size of Select City Walk in New Delhi. I have been wanting to pick up a traveling sized computer and I found an HP Mini there for about 480.00. That is about 100 more than I can get one for in t

Nach anfnglichen Schwierigkeiten unseren Shuttledienst zu finden klappte es dann doch noch und wir starteten zu einer Fahrt durch Manila.
