We left Dublin around 9am to go to Wicklow a place I had read about in novels Ireland is one of those places you can say that about. It was raining on and off of course.
Since my last blog I have learned much more about my host family the Irish culture and teaching in Ireland. My host family is very wonderful. I was extremely worried about the money situation since the exchange rate from the American dollar to the Euro is so poor. I am not as worried anymore because for 175 Euros a week 250 American Dollars I get my own room with plenty of storage for

When I arrived at the Dublin Airport Saturday morning I was tired from the flight but so excited about all the new things I would see in the moments to come.
Last Saturday all of us went to Glendalough glen of two lakes and the Wicklow Mountains. It is a monastery that was founded in the 6th century by St. Kevin but the buildings date from the 8th through 12th centuries. It is located about an hour and a half from Dublin and is nestled into the mountains. Glendalough was once the religious philosophy learning center of Europe. Apparently Ireland was

Today was a lot of fun Mary and I took the Wild Wicklow Tour for a day trip outside of the city. We met the tour bus around 9am in front of the Gresham Hotel on O'Connell street. After several stops to pick up other passengers we headed up along the coast. Our first stop was at a tower the former home of author James Joyce for a few coastal pictures. Next we headed to Avoca crafts shop for a

Easter weekend and four blissful work free days Blogging is addictive and we were finding the withdrawal difficult to take so here we are back again. While travelling in Asia and particularly in the Philippines we found the Filipinos were very good at blogging and promoting their own country. I think we can try a little of that. As we are skint it's not likely we'll be getting much further tha
