1 day 21 hours and 35 minutes until Athens

I've been enjoying my last week at home getting everything ready to be gone again for 10 weeks. I've been staying very busy and productive but also very relaxed and in a nice flow as I putter around getting my list checked off. We'll be returning in the rainy season so it felt really good to get all the firewood put away the wood stove reinstalled and the garden mostly all cleaned up and r

Summer update...

I am close to half way through my time without Tim this summer. As I expected I've been keeping my self very busy. My mom sister and nieces were here at the beginning of June for a nice 3 day visit. We spent one day hiking around Elk's Head and College Cove just North of Trinidad and the next up at Fern Canyon and Prarie Creek Parks. They were fun outings especially the hike up Fern Canyon wh

These pictures were all taken on April 16 my birthday. We had been camping on Huahine for a little over a week and had spent most of our time hanging around the compound. On my birthday we rented bikes and rode around both Huahine Nui and Huahine Iti. It was about a 60 kilometer loop. The weather was perfect for most of the day cloudy we didn't have to endure the intense rays of the sun while

These pictures along with all the others in Polynesia were taken with Tim's new Optio W30 water proof camera. I was reluctant to actually put it in the salt water it just seemed so counterintuitive but when I did it performed perfectly. It was actually kind of difficult to capture the fish in focus and framed well. Most of the fish are very shy so would dart away quickly when approached. I

Well I've been home again for a few days from my travels in French Polynesia. I came home feeling a little wiped out and disoriented... French Polynesia was beautiful in many ways but the heat and humitity was a bit too much for my liking not to mention the expense and the bugs. Tim and I both got ill starting our third week and took almost a week to fully recover. Today my energy is getting b

I've been scanning in pictures of my last travels that I did in 199192 with my partner David. Though I've only got about half of the negatives scanned in from that trip I wanted to get some pictures up of David that have come up so far. David tought me how to snorkel the first summer we met in 1987 when we took a trip out to Catalina Island. He was a great swimmer and spear fisherman. I'll be t

Dave Randy came down from Bridgeville and Damon was here for the first time since Tim's 39th Birthday Bash. It turned out to be a wet and rainy day but that just made the hottub all the nicer. Tim made an incredible meatloaf and another batch a flan that was just out of this world delicious. I can honestly say it was th

We've been staying busy with finalizing travel plans hiking in the Arcata forest and cleaning up things around the house and gardens as well as time for rest and play. Here are a few pics I took yesterday afternoon as we were getting ready to have our friends Barb Ron over for dinner. We had a beautiful sunny sky all day

These are some photos I scanned last night that are from my first trip to Europe. I was traveling with my girlfriend of 3 12 years Teresa. Technically she wasn't really my girlfriend anymore. She decided to inform me of her love for a new boy while we were waiting for our plane at LAX to fly us off to London. The momentum was just too much for us not to get on the plane so off we went. I
