Day Trip to Cambridge

Yesterday we drove up to Cambridge for the day. The drive took around 2 hours and we got to see miles of english landscape and forests. The day was quite foggy which added to the mystery and oldworldly feel of Cambridge. We dove pass the impressive entrances of Trinity and Kings College and witnessed the hundreds of students as they biked their way around the campus. We crossed the college's riv

Saturday Cambridge was awesome It is kind of blah when you get there piles of bikes for rent and stuff. I think it was about a 15 minute walk into the main part Begona and I walked forever it seemed trying to find the tourist information centre. The train ride was about an 1 12 hours to get to Cambridge from where I live with one stopover in Welywyn Garden City where we met up. Anyhow

Krisztina and I left the house at eight this morning walked to Gyorgyi's house and she drove us to Hatfield to pick up Heni.So here I am the only American among three boisterous Hungarian women. And it's a gloriously sunny dayThe first thing we do is tour the famous University which I found out

This is going to be a very short entry because I'm using the computer of a friend of a friend who is Greek and every so often I hit the wrong button and all the letters I'm typing come out as Greek letters which obviously is impossible for us to read. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am in Cambridge for the weekend. I have a few good stories to tell but I save them for later. I actual

It was my first train experience and it did not start well.A few of us IFSAButler students missed the train because of a ridiculous demand for buses from UEA to Norwich city center on Friday afternoon. It was really hectic and stressful our group got split up because of the crowd. Five people in our group were able to sque

This morning we met Mr. Davis on base for the flight tower tour. Mark the person you gave us the tour was running late from his meeting so we weren't up in the tower when the first 2 planes took off. Those were F15E's and they took off at the same time. We were still able to see it from the ground and it was pretty cool. They had the afterburners on so it was really loud. You could feel

Now I'm not sure if all bathtubs in England are like this but the one at the hotel I'm staying at is just a bit different. One it's a god awful puke yellow. It also has a very touchy temperature knob that if not careful can be mistaken for the onoff knob and you can burn the crap out of yourself then shock yourself and testicles in a surge of cold water. But the worst part is that it is

This place kinda reminds me of a retro version of the VFW at SIU. Lot of space for one person but the government gives me the cash for it so why not spend it. The place is a converted farm over 400 years old. Some the wood used in it is even older than that used from torn down ships. There are many unique features to include the upstairs hallway which is just over 4 ft high around the cross beams
