Liwa Liwa Liwa

Once again my obsession with this place drags me 500 odd kilometers into the barren wasteland to experince utter silence and stark beauty at its best. Pitch dark roadways chattering cold tents undies full of sand rattle snake tracks and inflatable beds have become something I am starting to get comfortable with I've done a lot of solos on this sector and always felt it was a long way from home

The Empty Quarter

At long last I was able to take my brand new car the Toyota FJ Cruiser out into the desert and do some dune basing. This experience proved quite exciting somewhat terrifying especially when Yuki drove but certainly addicting. I am proud to say I did not have to get help or dig the car out once Anyway the key to dune bashing or at least what I learned thus far is to keep your momentum t

Desert Safari

Yes at long last I have made it to the real desert. Well this is actually a bit more of the tourist desert for I actually make it to the real real desert later on. Any way this was a nice introduction to the desert that makes all tourists feel like they're seeing the desert. What goes on here is pretty cool though but please don't generalize and think that this is the reality out here. Fr

More than just a big pile of sand

Well the place pulled me back again The pictures I posted don't do justice to the real thing and I ain't no poet to write a nice song to explain it. One has to go thr to experience the feeling. Empty void majestic heights monotonous tones minimalistic lines. It truly is weird. A long ride made longer by the cold battery on our car dying on us and the empty pitch dark road ways freakin us out
