Hello kind followers of our travel blogFirstly no that's not a spelling mistake in the title. Ayutthaya the old capital of Thailand has many wats and temples. And also many ants. Some that made their way into my bag and onto my clothes 'ants on my pants' was the second choice of blog title. Anyhow I'm getting ahead of myself. The last time David posted a blog we were in Bangkok staying in C

Thankfully this street was far more charming and relaxed than its clammy dryheaving namesake. Little cafes featured LIVE JAZZ two sweet Thai teenagers earnestly crooning Sinatra era tunes and plunking away on their keyboard bikes rentals were 30 baht a day under 1 and most establi

So I decided to get an early night. I got up early and went to the tourist center to get some maps so I could walk about. here you can hire a bycicle however having not been on one for such a long time the prospect of riding about the

I don't think I've written anything more about my trip since Koh Tao. Actually it's been rather uneventful. The south of Thailand on the whole is a place where people 1. sunbathe 2. party 3. dive 4. climb. Out of those four I'm only suited for one. Diving in Koh Tao was really fun. I got my advanced certification so that I can dive to 30 m and at night. I'm happy about that. I went to Koh Pan

We arrived in Ayutthaya on 11th October 2008 by train. The train was third class and the worst journey I have ever taken. It lasted for 90 minutes was crammed full of people the seats were hard plastic and there was no air conditioning although there was a single fan on the roofWe were picked up from the station by our new hostel owner and taken to drop off our bags. I liked this hostel most

Meh. So we hopped into a tuk tuk headed to the train station and spent the day in Ayutthaya. There's the basic account. Now for the detailed emotio

Spending many quarters in the arcades on this game I definitely went to go see this movie when it came out about 10 years ago. Apparently some of it was shot in Ayutthaya where there are a ton of old Wat's and cool temples. I got to Ayuttaya smoothly and found the chea
