This will be a very short entry in terms of text as a few of my readers were actually with me for this particular journey. but I really liked a few of the pictures that I took on Iona and thought it would be a shame to keep them out of the rest of my travels. In short My family came to visit me in Scotland the week after I had returned from Spain. Chronologically this entry should be placed be

On Thursday we took a ferry from Oban to a town called Craignure on the island of Mull. In Craignure we went to take a train to Torosay Castle and Gardens. So at the station we got the tickets and went to the platform and expected to get on a regular train but no The train was like a one at an amusement park it was small and was very slow. Mom forgot to mention that it was a narrow gauge. We g

We took a ferry across the water to the Island Of Mull. A ferry is a large boat that can transport people and their cars across the water. There was a restaurant and even a gift shop on the ferry Camille and I liked going to the top deck and looking out at

Although Dave and I didn't get to see much of it since we were working the whole time... kind of a trend starting I think. We haven't been that busy this month a wee bit boring actually. And work is a bit unsure at the moment since it seems the staff are all about to cut and run. We both really like Nick and Debbie so

Ouch Today was hard work. A strong north westerly wind right in our faces made cycling very difficult especially as we had 4 or 5 big climbs to traverse. We left Ben and Silvy's at 8.15 am and arrived in Tarbert which is just north of Arran at about 8.30pm. Part of the reason the day was so long was because we had two ferry journeys one onto Arran and one off. The scenery around here is spect

Not mine so far Could make little sense of various weather forecasts but decided that the uncertainty of that plus sitting in the tent spending money suggest a need to bring the expedition to an end.
