Switzerland

Our only stop in Switzerland was Lauterbrunnen a cold little town nestled in between two steep mountains in the Alps. It seems that there is a waterfall every 50m in Switzerland it is ridiculous how much water they have. There were actually rapids flowing through the stream in our camp It was so cold that pretty much all of us upgraded to cabins I was especially keen after already spending

The method to make it a quick journey was to sleep on the bus. I wasn't that tired at this point of the trip so I actually got to see some of the French countryside. There were some amazing castles on the way.As soon as we passed the Swiss boarder the fun began with a Champaign party on

Lauterbrunnen Jungfrau Mountain

Jungfrau Mountain Jungfrau mountain is the highest mountain in Europe sitting at about 4158 metres. Even though it's nearly the end of summer due to the altitude there's still snow on the mountain. It was 2.5 degrees when we were up there. We caught the train up to the mountain which is about a 2 hour ride. I've got a photo of me doing the matrix in the train which is made possible as the tracks

We went and checked out the Olympic museum but decided not to go inside because it was too expensive. We sat by the lake all day and relaxed. We decided to go on a boat across the lake to Montreux to meet AnneLaure at a famous jazz festival. The next day we were so lucky to have AnneLaure drive us around a

Today we had the opportunity to go up the Jungfrau Mountain. Ash had told us it would be one of the best experiences we would have on the trip so of course Lauren and I paid up and went. Jungfrau means virgin and according to Ash it's surrounded by another mountain called the monk who rescued her from the ogre mountain. Anyways we went up the mountain by train. Well it wasn't a train of sorts be

Yesterday we quickly discovered that the Swiss really like Americans. On the 4th of July we woke up to breakfast in our hotel with American flag placemats and mini flag toothpicks in the muffins. It was the most festive either one of us has been in a while. We then set out on our journey to the Jungfrou one of the highest points in Europe.
