Cornwall Adventure

Ok this one's for Maureen because she says we're falling behind. We are now finally on a good beach missed the sun though in Bude along the Cornwall coastline. It's very cool here a lot like Tofino but with fewer rich germans and more rich brits. The hostel in Bude is probably the best one yet but unfortunately we only booked 2 nights and they're full for tomorrow so we're moving on to the local

Drive slowly for Fox sake

From No Man's Land to Come to Good they certainly have some weird and wonderful named places in Cornwall but the Drive slowly for Fox sake was the sign which made me chuckle the most. Cornwall really is a beautiful county. It always reminds me of Enid Blighton's Famous Five adventures with secret caves and pirates. On this part of the journey I also tried out a Youth Hostel for the very fir

The best thing I have brought with me on this holiday is my ear plugs If it werent for them I would have been kept awake by some godawful karaoke blaring out from the clubhouse until the early hours of the morning Got up at 9.30am and decided to have a swim but the pool wasnt open until 10am. Instead had a long hot shower and breakfast. Packed my rucksack with a packed lunch and set off fo

Day 3 Bude Cornwall

Got up this morning at about 9am and had breakfast. Leisurely packed up and left Croyde at about 11.45am. Next stop Bude. Parked up in the town and wandered around for a while trying to find the tourist info. Didn't find it so instead went to an internet cafe and searched for campsites on there. Ended up at Bude Holiday Park which is a bit hideehi for my liking but at least it will be nice to

A day of slow travel

It appears that the Monday was a bank holiday. At the end of this day the only name I have for this holiday is 'bank holiday' and have no idea what this is about other than creating dreadful traveling conditions. I would highly advise waiting until after and 'bank holidays' to travel. I left Glastonbury and headed to Taunton with the bus being a half hour later than expected. No problem. Once I ar
