Strange Email

All of my readers may not find the humor in this story as I did but it just made me laugh so I had to post it if for nothing else for me and the stories I want to remember....I get this email at work and I am not paying much attention to it because of the Russian name on the From line. I never tried to read the name but assumed it was spam especially when I saw the Dear Sir. Before I aut

Yes for those of you in the poultry industry you know all too well what we just went through. If you had not heard there were several AI confirmed outbreaks in the NaroFominsk district which is the same as ours and there was one in Kaluga which is a different region but actually closer to us than the NaroFominsk's ones. Knock on wood they are behind us but they were way too close for c

Another Bites the Dust

I know I have not written since I left on vacation and all of this AI is not helping much here in Russia but I am alive and well. I am going to try to update at least some of the stuff going on. I had even written hand notes so I did not forget anything and now have lost those notes so I will have to go on memories and pictures. However before getting into all of that after calling off sick

Had a Success

It has only taken six months but I watch a success yesterday in our weekly sanitation meeting. We had several out of spec results and we had the initial agruing over the data and who was at fault but then something happened without my involvement my Chief Vet and Microbiologist along with my Sanitation Lead started brainstorming in their own way what happened.
First of all I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. This has to be one of the most toasting countries so let me wish each of you a very healthly happy and wealthy new year filled with love and joy for you and your loved ones. This is not my quote but I found it as I was helping Timoffy Grandfather Frost and Dasha Snow Girl write their speech for the party.May your best day this p

Feeling Better

Nothing really to report but wanted to post this picture from last week. Do not ask me how they talked m into wearing this silly wig but I did and everyone got a laugh for obvious reasons out of it so I thought I would share with the rest of my readers. I still have a cough but I feel a lot better than I did this weekend so hopefully I am getting over this cold. If I am it did not last as
