Then we went and payed with the kis over lunch which was a ton of fun.I was with a bunch of boys who were enjoying watching cars looking for punch buggies and beating ech other.
Last night we went to sleep in Trout Creek to thunder and rain. We had found an RV park after dark when the highway was mostly quiet. This morning we woke to 18 wheelers and a train rumbling by at 700 AM. Our new rule is never to drive after dark so we had to reach Yellowstone by 600 PM tonight. That involved about 4 hours of Interstate highway. But the rest of the day was on empty and very scen

Nothing like a nice ride across country taking in the scenery as I sit back and relax...NOT On a Greyhound bus haha The bus will likely be a long uncomfortable restless overnight travel the advantage save a little money by flying directly from an international airport and because it's overn

So here it goes.....the beginning of a new adventure is about to start and I'm stoked I have 11 days before departure and no clue where to start. I've been prepping things for the last couple weeks and tying up all those loose ends I don't want to worry about while I'm abroad. You know that useless car payment I'll be making for my car to sit unused for a year or longer insurance for the us

The next 2 days we spent in Bozeman the town where you cant get bored. Leanne woke up with a plan to update her CV and maybe think about the prospect of having to work one of these days. But this didnt last long and before we knew it we were out running around Bozeman. Although we have been here a while we hadnt really explored the town. Bozeman has increased in size by 40 in the 7 years since Sa

With needing to be back by 8.30am to return the kayaks for the next rental booking we were up bright and early and back along the slow bumpy dusty road. With kayaks safely unloaded we all felt we deserved a hot coffee and cooked breakfast. Just what we needed after a few super days of high activity. It was a long drive back to Bozeman so with that in mind we kept pushing on. Just like the drive

The drive wasn't too long and as like everything around here it was incredible beautiful. Although the ranges were slightly hazy due to bush fires in California we could still see the local beauty. I know some of you will argue that the AMC huts fill that purpose but the NFS cabins are a bit different. I had been calling around town looking for a barber shop that still did the old time straight razor shave and I was so excited when I found one that I neglected to ask if they take walk ins.
