To the market we go

After laying around for 3 or 4 days Jared and I figured maybe we should peak out from behind our piles of naan seafood aloo gobi and butter chicken and explore. So on Wednesday morning we headed to Margao the nearest large city and the second largest city in Goa. We planned on walking down the street a bit and catching a cab but then decided that maybe an attempt at a bus ride was in order.

Our stay at Goa was rather overshadowed by lots and lots of monsoonal rain. At one time we couldn't leave the place where we were staying with friends of Pete to go out and get food. We did brave it a couple of times and got wet right through to every last bit of clothing. Not that bad really as it still wasn't cold.I would like to go back to Goa out of the monsoon season as I believe the place

That was where I was last... for perhaps the third time this year. Floods viruses and horror stories could not keep me out... and two weeks back into civilization and a place with no beaches I am already wondering when I can head back there.Goa is the one city in India where normal rules do not apply. Everybody loses a little bit of reserve and puts aside that mask for a little while. So you've

Oh man... I just experienced some true India. I decided to take a train up north to the state Goa. It was those night trains that take 14 hours to get to the place. I spoiled myself by buying some 'first class' tickets on the train. I was half expecting the rooms to be like clean and have a nice window. Hahaha so wrong Vic so wrong. The only space I had was the size of an upper bunk bed with a
