Melbourne Oct 30Nov 3

Modern transportation is a marvel. A mere hour in the sky and I arrived in Melbourne Australia. It was a weekend trip from Thursday October 30 to Monday November 3. I had been looking forward to visiting Melbourne since I first flew to Australia. Since Melbourne is in the southern state of Victoria I waited through winter so that the weather would be more inviting for my visit. The Spring

Melbourne City Highlights

Happy Hallowe'en. It doesn't seem to be a big holiday here we've seen almost no decorations. We did actually see a Santa this morning and yesterday we saw the big Christmas tree. Yesterday as promised was a long day. Left the hotel at 8 am in the grey gloom apparently Melbourne is known for having 4 seasons in a day and has the most rainy days of any Australian city heading out on a city

Weekendje Melbourne

Well today's post title is inspired by one of my favorite books Tuesdays with Morrie. I titled it as such not that I think I'm nearly as amazing as Morrie but because today was very insightful in much the same way that the book was for me when I read it.Let's first begin with yesterday though. I woke up way earlier than I wanted to considering the state I was in when I went to bed Sunday ni

HolaI will keep this one short and sweet because I doubt anyone is really interested in learning about the Victorian State Parliament.....however I found it fairly interesting. The Australian government is structured similar to the U.S. in many ways but also very different in other respects.I visited the Victorian State Parliament on Friday January 12th. The building was immaculate. The roo
