San Juan

Today we were in San Juan but we ended up spending most of the day just sitting around on the lounge chairs on the promenade deck in between eating. Lin was just not up to doing more than that. So at least I didnrsquot have to go shopping like shersquod originally planned. We did have an evening tour to a Latin Traditions show booked but she decided not to go at the last minute. I went ahead

It wasnrsquot important whether the person was Guatemalan a traveler or a person I met in some other way. All that was important was that they had an interesting life story. We were full of emotions sad and excited at leaving friends behind but with hope of seeing new sites ahead. The trip all 2 miles of it was uneventful. The coastline is beautiful with its mixture of palm trees very large hardwood trees and rocky low coastline. The water was flat calm. At the entrance of the rive

Saturday morning we got up and missed the bus to the intersection at which we'd have to pick up the next bus to the Falls.
A fairly straight forward ride today with a reasonable 95km clocked. The biggest surprise was the difference in terrain. I was expecting hot and humid but instead I got hot and dry. Eventhough this area of Honduras is close to the ocean it was very arid. As a result the vegetation was completely different to what I saw along the coast of Guatemala and El Salvador.I wasn't sure what to expect fo
