12907The drive to Clearwater Beach was pretty cool. To get to Clearwater Beach you drive through Tampa. To me it looked like a City in California. Palm Trees lining all the roads and water everywhere. It was great. Made it to the Hostel around 530 and checked in. I hurriedly went to the Beach to see the sunset. The sunset was pretty cool. I went out and had a couple beers and went to be

So I find myself at the end of 2006 a city short of fulfilling a New Year's resolution. I never did make it to DC this year... though I'm granting myself an extention till March seeing as I didn't start the traveling till then. This year I've been to Miami Boston New York Chicago Austin Waco Dallas and technically Atlanta. So all in all I can really take comfort in having done a lot of

Discourse on Method

The Method is one of traveling. The title sounds familiar you think Its a book by the great philosopher Rene Descartes. His most famous expression is Cogito ergo sum French for as my boy Pat knows I Think Therefore I am. A bold statement in the 1600s is still a imposing statement in the 21 century. Basically what I'm getting at is that another trip has reared its beautiful head. Im off

For once I'm going somewhere with no plans. No massive list of things to see. I just want to get up Saturday morning and

Hello and Introduction

So far in my short 23 years of life on this planet I've managed to see some pretty cool things. I'm going to ramble through them very quickly since I have neither the time nor patience to back log all of this.I went to Charlotte NC when I was 7ish to see my dad and had an awesome road trip with my grandparents. Did some neat camping and small trips as I grew up and saw a lot of Florida Cape

Carl and I checked with US Social Security to see if I can get benefits at age 62. They will send a letter here in four weeks. The key question is whether I worked for ten years in USA. I did work but my record was patchy. Watch this space. For the Southern Cross and Boomerang I feel like Don Quijote and you my readers will be my cyber Sancho Panzas. Those who stick with me even laugh at me. Th

This an exciting evening for me. The offer on a timeshare in the Clearwater Beach Area has just been accepted. This isn't any ordinary cramped motel type unit with a kitchenette but a complete cottage with two bedrooms and two baths. The nicest part are the surroundings Lots of lawnhiking trails two tennis courts a swimmimg pool and a 580 foot dock that juts out into the water. It will be fun s
