Hey everyoneHope you all had a nice Easter break and managed to soak up some sunshine. The weather here wasn't that great we were lucky to get blessed with gale force winds oh sweet memories of home down in Cornwall and ended up missing out on the snow that fell in London. Boohoo But I wouldn't give up snow for the beach that's for sureWe drove down to Trevone Bay near Padstow which is

Tears for fears

Can't really remember much about what I have done over the last few days partly cos I'm writing this retrospectively and it's actually December but mostly because of one of two things 1 I've been crying a lot about having to leave Matt2 I've been absolutely wankered. The other day we all went to Bedruthan Steps which is a beach near Newquay with some amazing rock formations. When the tide

Me and Helen had another girl's day out the other day we decided to walk from Sennen Cove to Land's End. We parked up in Sennen Cove and we had barely left when Helen suggested that we do a spot of rock climbing nothing too difficult just a gentle scramble she said Now Helen is exArmy has done over 80 skydives and regularly climbs in the Peak district. Me I rarely climb stairs. The way

Tuesday Me and Helen went to Hawker's Cove for a few hours and sunbathed. When we got back despite the fact that we had been at the beach all day the boys decided that now they wanted to go to the beach for a surf We let them get on with it and me and Helen went into Padstow in search of a restaurant for dinner. We thought we would boycott Rick Stein's Seafood restaurant since he had been in

Had a really nice girlie day today with Helen. Nothing special in fact pretty mundane but just nice to hang out on a summers day in Cornwall. We went to the launderette and did a mammoth amount of everyone's washing which we later hung up on every available guyrope in sight The guys all went out for a surf so me and Helen just hung out really Had some wine in the evening and around 10pm ish t

The boys surfed most of the day and the girls sunbathed bliss When the boys had done surfing we played some ball games I'm absolutely crap by the way but we had a really nice time

Beetle run

Matt was supposed to go out for the day with his parents but he had an argument with them and they went off out without him. It was his fault really. He wasn't ready when they came to pick him up even though they told him what time they'd be there so he asked them to come back in an hour which they did and he still wasn't ready. Instead he spent the day tinkering with Vicky's car and I went i

Matt got up and went for a surf fairly early this morning so I went over to Helen's camper for breakfast and spent the morning lounging around there. Meanwhile Matt came back sporting a beautiful black eye He was complaining of dizziness and double vision so I took him off to the Royal Cornwall Hospital's AE After 4 hours he's fine just a badly bruised eye and slightly stretched muscles acco

Went to the Tate St. Ives gallery where I spent ages staring at this one painting by John Holsworthy it was huge and amazing They didn't have a postcard of it so I ended up spending an extortionate and regrettable amoun

Another very random but exciting day...Matt came over this morning and asked if I wanted to go to the laundrette which I did so we packed up our laundry and went off to Wadebridge. Laundrette was closed for refurbisment We had lunch at a juice bar and then set off on a grand tour of BQ's Focus Do It Alls and other hardware shops to find a chainsaw blade.
Still here in Padstow

I've pretty much decided on an indefinite stay here as the people I've met here are so great and I'm having so much fun that it would be a huge anticlimax to leave and be on my own again. Plus Padstow is fairly centralish so I can still visit all the places I would've done anyway but just do them as day trips. After a lot of lazing around I went into Padstow to use the internet in the Tourist
