Well I left Paradise a few days ago and have been running ever since. My first stop was Brisbane where I only stayed for a night. I went to the Brisbane Broncos rugby game. Now I don't know much about rugby. I know what a try is and the general rules but little of it makes sense to me. It appeared to be a pretty solid game with the home side winning by 1 pt on a goal in the last few mins. I went

The key part to this trip is the ability to drive yourself in a 4x4 along the beaches to group cook at the campsit

We're 14 weeks on now from Olivia's birth and life is very busy as you can imagine So here is a photo diary from our lovely two week holiday with my Dad who stayed with us for 6 weeks recently but has sadly gone home now on a 42 foot catamaran on the seas next to Fraser Island

Hervey BayArriving at Hervey Bay we were greated by the Koala mini bus waiting to transfer us to the hostel and a short drive later we had checked into the hostel and dumped our bags in the room. Our room was not particularly nice however we did have it to ourselves which was a bonus. After a much needed long hot shower we were tucked up in bed desperate for a good nights sleep. Well we caught the bus so it was no big deal. We stopped a couple of hours into the drive in Brisbane to change buses where I had McDonald's for only the second time in Australia. I still don't like it much. We had to weigh our bags at this terminal for some str

Ok So Airlee Beach was a great success. Three days two nights of hanging out on a boat sailing to different snorkel and beach locations. Our most impressive destination was the famous Whitehaven beach where the sand is paperwhite and so fine it crunches under your feet like snow. Incredible really. I went into the water up to about waist height and within a few minutes was surrounded by sand

G'day mateIt took us about 3 12 hours up the coast to reach Hervey bay. Before we checked in at a camp we stopped in town and booked up a one day safari of Frazer island the following day. The tour started at 7.20am so got up about 6.30am. A coach picked us up from the camp and continued to pick up everyone else. In total there was about 20 people on the trip. We got dropped to the ferry by our

Arrived in Harvey Bay which is a very small quiet town with very little night life considering it is the gateway to Fraser island and thousands of backpackers must pass through here every year. Having said that the dorm was by far the best value dorm of Australia so far. It was a four bed dorm but it had it's own ensuite bathroom and kitchen. I booked a 1 day tour of Fraser island. They did 2 and
