We went to Kos for a week in April to get some sunshine and explore a piece of the Mediterranean. We stayed in a beautiful hotel in Kos Town. Our room overlooked the Aegean Sea and across the water we could see Turkey. When we got there we wandered around town and found a beachside restaurant called Papa39s Beach Resort. We were served by a man named Apostilis and I swear he is related to Rocky

For our trip to the island of Kos in the Dodecanese we stayed in Kefalos which is 17 miles from the bustling main town of Kardemena but looks and feels a world apart. It is quiet and friendly with lots of narrow lanes winding around the island. The first morning we had a stroll down to the sea after some mushroom omelettes and juice. The weather was perfect very sunny with a slight cooling breeze
